The ‘BRA’ Cycle of Life: BEing, Response, and Action: How to Deal with Anything and Everything

Updated: 1 day ago

Life is kinda simple really. When faced with the inevitable challenges and obstacles that life presents to us when 'Life gets lifey' it's all about who we are BEing, how we respond, and what action we take.

William James, the American philosopher and psychologist, said that “The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude.”

Whenever we face adversity or when we are dealing with a difficult or toxic person (and there are many of them, who don’t have lives at all in the real world), we often rely on our usual habit of reacting: This doesn’t serve us very well. We overreact, blow things out of proportion, hold on too tightly to the little things, and focus on the negative aspects of life. We get irritated and immobilised by little things and we and lose sight of the bigger picture. We ignore and annoy people who might help us. This gets in the way of getting what we want. We live our lives as though they were one big emergency. We often rush around and are incessantly busy. But by doing this we typically compound our ‘problems’. We spend our lives facing what we think is one drama after another. We begin to think that our ‘problems’ really are a big deal. When we start to face life with more ease, problems that seemed insurmountable replace old perspectives and patterns of reaction, and we find that, even the ‘biggies’ stop seeming as such. There is another way of living that replaces our perspective of reacting: That is to respond, and not react.

Let's dive in...

The ‘BRA’ cycle of life: BEing, response, and action: How to deal with anything and everything
The ‘BRA’ cycle of life: BEing, response, and action: How to deal with anything and everything

BEing is who you truly are: Your real Self (note the capitalisation of the ‘S’); Your Higher Self; Your divine Self; And your Soul. It is not your ego (note the small 's'), which is an illusion:, Your false self; Your persona; A masquerade; Your mask; and the lowest part of your self. Masks are deadly. The ego wants you dead. The ego is a liar. The ego is simply a compulsive, drama-fuelled mental construct; A conditioned thought pattern. It is a set of identifications, opinions, positions, desires, preferences, and judgements. Sadly, it our sense of self, until we awaken. When you are stuck in ego, you get pulled in by distractions, for example negative thoughts and their corresponding emotions. The ego is conscious, and rules and ruins our life. The Self remains steady, complete, and silent in the background. The Higher Self is unconscious, and the process of awakening is to bring it into consciousness, which is the most powerful force in the Universe, alongside love. As Eckhart Tolle, the spiritual teacher, and author of ‘The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment’ (although I prefer ‘A New Earth'), which is in my ‘Suggested Reading’ list, wrote “The moment you become aware of the ego in you, it is strictly speaking no longer the ego, but just an old, conditioned mind-pattern.”

BEing is a psychospiritual term for an integrated psyche. It means to be undivided. Your BEing is healed, which means ‘to be whole.’ Your ego is fractured and separated from the other parts of your psyche and disconnected from other people. Your BEing is created by a process of ‘individuation’, a term coined by Carl Jung, who was one of the greatest psychiatrists of all time, a scientist, a philosopher, and who was also a spiritual Master, described ‘individuation’ as both a psychological process, where the psyche is transformed, and also a spiritual process of union with the divine Self. In other words, individuation is a ‘psychospiritual’ integrative process, to become ‘whole’. It involves dropping the ego (mind), which is the false self , and identifying with the Higher Self, which is the true Self, also known as the Soul. We need a Soul-led world not a Soul-less world. Carl Jung described the relationship between the Self and the divine that "Through uniting with the Self, we reach God. Not that the Self is God, although we reach the God through the Self." Jung came increasingly to think that the healthiest spiritual aim, that is, the one of most benefit to the individual, is that of individuation – of trying to become more and more fully and truly who we essentially are. This becoming conscious of more and more of our unconscious motivations, fears, and longings, is a lifelong process and can be followed along many different paths, two of which are, Jung thought, analytical psychology and spirituality. To some extent, we all follow the spiritual path of individuation, usually unconsciously, when, as Jung wrote "It means no more than that the acorn becomes an oak, the calf a cow, and the child an adult." But it is the conscious, chosen following of this path which Jung saw as the true spiritual achievement. By engaging in the difficult but totally transformational inner journey of becoming who you truly are, in other words the spiritual journey, we achieve the highest task in our lives: It is why we were created. Individuation is the bridging together of conscious and unconscious elements of the psyche. Jung's emphasis on the Self as a centre of wholeness and integration aligns with the concept of the Higher Self. The Self, for Jung, is more than just an ego or personality; it's a deeper, more inclusive entity that encompasses the entire psyche, including both conscious and unconscious aspects. It's the point where the individual psyche becomes fully integrated and connected to a larger, Universal consciousness. While he didn't use ‘Soul’ in the same way as some religious or spiritual traditions, Jung often talked about the importance of finding a Soul or a spiritual dimension in one's life. For example, in his book, ‘Modern Man in Search of a Soul,’ he explored the search for meaning and purpose. He also believed that the psyche's creative and spiritual aspects were essential for wholeness and individuation. In essence, Jung's work offers a psychospiritual framework for understanding the spiritual journey of self-discovery, with the Self-serving as a key concept in that process. And for this to originate from one of the greatest scientists, psychiatrists, analytical psychologists, and philosophers of all time is truly significant. His writings suggest that realising the Self involves integrating the conscious and unconscious aspects of the psyche, ultimately leading to a deeper sense of meaning and connection to something larger than oneself, which could be interpreted as a connection to the Higher Self or the Soul. Challenges and suffering are crucibles for evolution, growth, and transformation. Jung wrote that “Every psychic advance of man arises from the suffering of the Soul.” I can definitely attest to that in my experience. He continued “Be grateful for your difficulties and challenges, for they hold blessings. In fact, Man needs difficulties; they are necessary for health personal growth, individuation, and Self-actualisation.”

Individuation is a process of accomplishing of the individual wholeness experienced as a psychological completeness. Individuation is a process that unfolds in stages of psychological development. Jung saw individuation as the process of Self-realisation: The discovery and experience of meaning and purpose in life. Individuation can be defined as the achievement of Self-actualisation through a process of integrating the conscious (the asleep ego mind) and the unconscious (the Higher Self, waiting to be awakened). Individuation, the central concept of Jung's psychology, is the foundational image and aspiration of Jungian psychoanalysis – and life. Individuation in the process of becoming what you were destined to be when you were born. It is a shift from ego-centredness to becoming one’s own Self. It is our duty to individuate. The only true sin is not to. Neale Donald Walsch, the author of the brilliant trilogy 'The Conversations With God: An Uncommon Dialogue', which is in my 'Suggested Reading' list, wrote that “Our ‘job,’ our intention as spiritual BEings in a body, is to express our true nature - to fully know ourselves as expressions and individuations of the Divine.”

The human condition is that we have a hole in our Soul, which is filled with the ego, until we do the inner work for it not to be. David Sinclair wrote in ‘The War of the Mind’ “How do you fill the hole? Only by becoming whole, which means becoming fully individuated, which means fully integrating all the contents of the unconscious, both personal and collective.”

Jung wrote that “If man does not reverence and submit to the unconscious, which created his consciousness, he loses his Soul, that is, he loses his connection with his Soul and his unconscious.

Your BEing is composed of your core values. My top five core values are joy, love, peace, compassion, and abundance. What are yours (see the image below)? For example, to come from a place of abundance will inevitably create abundance in your life. To come from a place of lack will inevitably create lack in your life. Joy underpins all of the other positive core values.

Core values: What are yours?
Core values: What are yours?

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, a French scientist, Darwinian, philosopher, and spiritual teacher, famously wrote the oft cited quote in ‘The Joy of Kindness’, widely popularised by the spiritual teacher Dr Wayne Dyer, that “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience.”

The quote "Watch your thoughts, they become words; watch your words, they become actions; watch your actions, they become habits; watch your habits, they become character; watch your character, for it becomes your destiny," is a concise way of expressing the core idea behind the more extended quote often attributed to Lao Tzu, the famous Taoist philosopher and Zen master. It highlights the idea that our thoughts, words, and actions shape our character, and ultimately become our BEing, which ultimately determine our destiny.  Similarly, Mahatma Gandi, the hugely influential Indian lawyer (who had a profound effect on so many others, not least Martin Luther King Jr.), who was a philosopher, spiritual teacher, and who employed non-violent resistance said that: “Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny.”

Many coaches talk about BEing. That's easy to say: But what does this mean? BEing is not what you do or have. BEing is who you are. That is your value, and it’s non-negotiable. The ego does not understand BEing, and fights it at every opportunity: For BEing involves the death of the ego.

The cross, which is the most recognised symbol in the world, has a horizontal dimension, which is the material world (doing and having), and there is a vertical dimension, which is BEing. Eckhart Tolle wrote "Neither failure nor success has the power to change your inner state of BEing."

Plato wrote "Man - a BEing in search of meaning." Epictetus, the brilliant Stoic Greek philosopher, wrote "No man is free who is not master of himself." You become master of your Self by BEing. What is BEing? Epictetus wrote "First say to yourself what you would BE; and then do what you have to do." Andy Warhol wrote "When you want to BE something, it means you really love it." Who do you want to BE? What's your dream?

Neville Goddard wrote “You are already that which you want to be, and your refusal to believe this is the only reason you do not see it… Disregard appearances, conditions, in fact all evidence of your senses that deny the fulfilment of your desire. Rest in the assumption that you are already what you want to be, for in that determined assumption you and your Infinite BEing are merged in creative unity, and with your Infinite BEing all things are possible… Whatever you desire, believe that you have received it, and you will... To reach a higher level of BEing, you must assume a higher concept of yourself.”

Neville Goddard wrote “Your opinion of yourself is your most important viewpoint. You are infinitely greater than you think you are.

Prayer and meditation are key to abundance through BEing. Neville Goddard wrote “Man must learn to believe in that which he does not, at the moment, see in order to grant himself that which he desires to have. Man's prayers are always answered, for he always receives that which he believes. The law that governs prayer is impersonal. Belief is the condition necessary to realise the desire. No amount of pleas or ritual will bring about the fulfilment of your desires other than the belief that you are or have that which you want… With your desire defined, quietly go within and shut the door behind you. Lose yourself in your desire; feel yourself to be one with it; remain in this fixation until you have absorbed the life and name by claiming and feeling yourself to be and to have that which you desired. When you emerge from the hour of prayer you must do so conscious of being and possessing that which you heretofore desired… Praying, is recognising yourself to be that which you desire to be, rather than begging God for that which you desire.” In the toughest, most challenging times in my life, especially recently, I have found prayer to be a superpower. It always works, even if God’s timing is sometimes last minute – I think God has a sense of humour, which says “Ok, now you have learned, and I Grace you with a positive outcome, so that you may do my will.”

Neville Goddard compared prayer to a master key to all that life has to offer us in abundance: “Prayer is the master key. A key may fit one door of a house, but when it fits all doors, it may well claim to be a master key. Such and no less a key is prayer to all earthly problems… Prayer succeeds by avoiding conflict. Prayer is, above all things, easy. Its greatest enemy is effort.”

Neville Goddard wrote “Man's chief delusion is his conviction that there are causes other than his own state of consciousness.” The journey of BEing involves expanding your consciousness. He advised “To rise in consciousness to the level of the thing desired and to remain there until such level becomes your nature is the way of all seeming miracles… Unless man discovers that his consciousness is the cause of every expression of his life, he will continue seeking the cause of his confusion in the world of effects, and so, shall die in his fruitless search… Learn to shake yourself loose from what the world believes is the only reality... You rise to a higher level of consciousness by taking your attention away from your present limitations and placing it upon that which you desire to be." Who are you BEing, in terms of the elevation of your consciousness, for your highest possibility to manifest and for you to become truly abundant?

When you are brought to your knees in life, Neville Goddard wrote that “You will find that you are not a victim of fate, but a victim of Faith.” Faith is your superpower. But you have to let go and believe in a Higher Power first. Neville Goddard defined Faith as “Faith is being loyal to your unseen reality within.”

How do you step from ego into BEing? It’s what takes you to your full, limitless potentialIt is certainly the most powerful step you can take in your life. We are human BEings, not human DOings, after all. DOing flows effortlessly when you are BEing.

By focusing on BEing, the doing will flow naturally from this place, like an oak grows from an acorn. The having will follow the doing. So, the wrong order is have, then do, then BE: The right order of things is BE, then do, then have. For this you need to awaken, embody your fractured parts, and surrender to the flow of the Universe. Lean back into the river of life and watch what happens. It will be miraculous. This is how you invoke your 'God-Mode'.

Your ego bellows in your ear and is brazen. You need solitude and meditation to hear your Higher Self’s whispers. But there is a chance for change when we endure suffering. God “Whispers in our pleasures, but shouts in our pain,” as C. S. Lewis once stated.

Immanuel Kant, one of the most influential figures in modern Western philosophy, wrote “To BE, is to do.” Once you remember who you truly are, all your doing will flow from who you are BEing, like a river flows from its source. You are the source. You are the saviour that you have been waiting for.

Your life’s purpose unfolds through the activities that you engage in on “The horizontal dimension,” or the dimension of doing and having, but more importantly it unfolds naturally from who you are BEing, in other words the vertical dimension. Many teachings on manifestation focus almost exclusively on the horizontal dimension, suggesting that if you get what you want through doing, you will be happy. This simply isn’t true. Trust me, I have lived experience of this. I have met billionaires who are suicidal. Everybody eventually finds that if they only operate on the horizontal dimension, they may get what they want, but it doesn’t ultimately satisfy them and doesn’t last. In fact that approach is insatiable and leads to mental illness. I know that many billionaires would give up their fortune in a second, if they could replace it with unconditional love.

How do we do BEing? The answer is to pray, meditate, use positive mantras, embrace your fractured parts, embody, choose to be your Higher Self, visualise, have Faith, become, and then let the doing flow from here. Your pain is a sign of your becoming, like resetting a fractured bone.

But how do you do this? Unless one is Buddha, one needs an Enlightened Witness or a guideMy purpose is to serve you. I have been where you are. I hear you. I see you. I see and hear the Higher Self in YOU. I will guide you to seeing it too. Once you are your integrated, authentic, Higher Self, you become your own coach, your own guide: You become a genuine light to the world. You won’t need me anymore and we will celebrate that.

I explain the order of things: BE, do, have, in my article entitled ‘Oh, Be-Have’. We all get it wrong. We all want to have first, and think that then that tells us what to do, and that makes us be who we want to be. But 'have-do-be' doesn't work. BE, do, have does.

If you would like infinite possibility, true abundance, joy, love, and peace, then try 'BE-do-have', and do not try the reverse to 'have-do-be.' So, as Austin Powers so concisely put it 'BE-have'! It's definitely worth a try.!

Always respond: Never react. The ego reacts: The Higher Self responds. Richard Carlson’s most famous book is called ‘Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff, and It’s s All Small stuff,’ which is in my ‘Suggested Reading’ list. Even what we see as the ‘big stuff', when seen from the present moment, is simply a set of small decisions to be made. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Essentially this means that to reach any large goal you've got to break it down into bite-size pieces and eventually, over time, you'll achieve it. How was the Great Wall of China (which can be seen from space) made?: One brick at a time. Winston Churchill famously built a wall: He was known to enjoy bricklaying and famously stated he laid "200 bricks and 2,000 words a day".

Here again, the response flows from who you BEing.

Viktor E. Frankl wrote "Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom."

Most people react: Think road rage, arguments with family and 'friends', and any form of conflict. Few people respond: Think conflict resolution and interpersonal miracles. If you want to resolve a long-standing issue with those that you love, responding is key. If you want to perpetuate hate, drama, and conflict, then reacting is the way. Who wants that? You would be surprised - most people have that as their default position and have no clarity about how to escape the grim pointless rut.

The magic happens when we move from reacting to responding, and even to creating. Reacting is a victim mentality. Responding is a victor mentality. Creating is a champion mentality of infinite possibility. Creating is as close as you get to the divine in you: The sacred space where you rest at the seat of your ease and yet with maximum productivity.

The journey of personal transformation involves shifting from being a reactor to being a responder, and ideally going further to becoming a creator. Reacting is an instinctive, emotional response to a situation. It's often impulsive and can be influenced by our past experiences or fears. On the other hand, responding is a thoughtful and deliberate action. It involves considering the situation, weighing the options, and making a conscious decision. Never give up on all that is good in this world.

In a Psychology Today article, Dr. Matt James wrote about the difference between reacting and responding: "A reaction is instant. It’s driven by the beliefs, biases, and prejudices of the unconscious mind. A reaction is based in the moment and doesn’t take into consideration long term effects of what you do or say. A response on the other hand usually comes more slowly. It’s based on information from both the conscious mind and unconscious mind. A response will be more ‘ecological,’ meaning that it takes into consideration the well-being of not only you but those around you. It weighs the long-term effects and stays in line with your core values” of who you are BEing.

When it comes to ordinary tasks, it is best to allow the rational, thinking portion of the brain to have time to process the feelings and emotions of the limbic system so you can choose your response more deliberately.

To respond means you take the leadership reins and become responsible to your Self and your principles. To respond is to take the time needed to allow the rational part of your brain to catch up with the limbic system, so you can make a decision that will serve your needs and higher desires.

Think about a time when you became angry, such as when someone cut you off in traffic, nearly causing an accident. Or how the weather ruined your wedding or anniversary birthday, that were being held outside. If you’re like many of us, you probably reacted quickly with an outburst of anger, which might have included a few choice words. That was a reaction! Start with this ‘low-hanging fruit’. And as you learn to deal with the small stuff, you will evolve and become able to deal with any challenge or adversity in your life.

The same thing can happen when someone says something that triggers you. Your limbic system goes into its fight-flight-freeze mode and you may hastily react, perhaps speaking sharply or yelling at them. Alternatively, you might want to run or shut down.

What you want is not always what you need. While responding is better than reacting, there is an even higher level of self-leadership — that of creating. As with responding, you give thought to the best options you see in a situation. But in creating, you take it to a deeper level, delving into what you really need.

To move from reacting to responding to creating, you simply need to pause, slow down, breathe, think, and develop a vision of what you really want — and then begin the work of moving in that direction.

As we journey forward, let’s remember that each step taken in mindfulness paves the way for the next and each choice made in awareness adds depth to our journey. And by doing so, we shape our own lives and touch the lives of others around us. Do you want a grievance or a miracle?

It’s a bit like my bicycle metaphor, which goes as follows: When you ride a traditional bike, sometimes we can peddle super quickly as we go uphill, hardly moving, in other words ‘hustle’ as we go through life. The alternative is to use an electric bike, the power coming from who you are BEing, and you can peddle slowly without any effort, overtaking all the traditional push-bikes. It’s ok to slow down your peddling, breathe, and respond: You will find that you go much faster and further without the hustle.

Action

Action includes deciding not to take action.

Here is the key to Self-awareness: Beliefs precede thoughts, which precede emotions, which lead to your actions, leading to your results. And our results determine who we are BEing.

Limiting beliefs are our fears. Unlimited beliefs are our infinite possibility.

Change your beliefs and you change the results: Change your beliefs and you powerfully change your life in every domain.

There is a spiritual equation “Man minus mind equals God.” When we drop out of being plagued by negative, repetitive, catastrophising, limiting beliefs, and their subsequent repetitive ‘awfulising’ thoughts, as occurs during meditation and mindfulness, this allows us to hear the quiet still voice of clarity and intuition (which represents sacred beliefs and their manifested thoughts). You you can use your mind to change your brain. So, a better version of this equation would be “Man minus limiting beliefs equals infinite possibility." No thought, which occurs after dropping your negative beliefs, leads to divine positive beliefs and thought without negative thinking. In Zen Buddhism, 'no-mind' (mushin) refers to a state of mental clarity and freedom from clinging to negative beliefs, thoughts, and emotions.

Neuroscience now provides a grounded in scientific understanding of how your brain and neurophysiological system acts as a goal achieving machine. And how your perceptions, emotions, actions, and results are manufactured by what you believe. Together they form a complete understanding of the whole human BEing operating system. Having a deeper knowledge of this will support you in committing yourself fully to the fact that your entire life is your own creation. And that the challenges, experiences, and triumphs are simply an outer objectification of your inner attitude. Second, you must have a way to integrate the understanding into an actionable plan. A series of simple step by step instructions to transform the way you think. To change your beliefs so that you can transform both your inner and outer reality. Are you going to take the blue pill or the red pill? Right now, you're at the entrance to the doorway. You know what you want: Your one thing. You begin to identify the limiting beliefs and patterns of thinking that are the only things preventing you from creating, being, doing, having, or achieving your one thing. These are your inner conflicts. Now let's take a next step through the door into understanding how your beliefs really do dictate your destiny; an even deeper look into where your beliefs come from, so that you can learn how to transform them permanently.

Your actions determine your results. Your actions produce the results you have in your life. If action is the cause, the result is the effect. Ralph Waldo Emerson said the Law of Cause and Effect is the “Law of Laws”. Aristotle, the great philosopher and polymath, who was taught by Plato, asserted that we live in a world governed by law, not chance. He stated that everything happens for a reason, whether or not we know what it is. He said that every effect has a specific cause or causes. Every cause or action has an effect of some kind, whether we can see it and whether we like it or not. The Law of Cause and Effect states that for every cause, there is an effect. This is the same as Isaac Newton's third Law, "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction". On a personal note, Aristotle tutored the son of Alexander the Great, after whom my middle name, Alexander, meaning 'defender of men' or 'warrior,' was given to me.

The Law of Cause and Effect states that every cause has an effect and every effect becomes the cause of something else. This is a scientific Law. I was spending so much time drifting and distracting myself from the things I knew I needed to do that I started feeling even worse about my Self: "Why can't I just commit to do the things I said I'm going to do? What's wrong with me? Why does it feel so difficult to just sit there and just get the work done? I'm never going to figure this out. I should be further along than this by now." In observation of my own behaviour, I came to the same conclusion that I started with - that I just didn't know how to do it right. In other words, procrastination and writer’s block. But, now I have written almost 450 articles in 18 months.

Your results reinforce your beliefs. When you step back and look at the results you're producing you will notice an illuminating thing. Your actions always, without question, reinforce the original beliefs that you started with. I had reinforced my own limiting beliefs and self-perception and deepened the false narrative that I don't know how to do it right. All as a result of a failure to understand that none of these things were actually true. The only truth was that I was operating according to a subconscious programme named ”I don't know how to do it right” - a limiting belief or fear. And without intervention that programme would play out precisely as it had my entire life. What you believe you think; what you think you feel; what you feel you act upon; how you act determine your results, or lack thereof; and your results always 100% of the time reinforce the original belief: In other words, who you are BEing. The mistake that most people make to try to change their life is that they attempt to modify their actions. We end up going round and round and round on some sort of action-oriented carousel looking for the next magic pill strategy: We're hoping that this time our actions will produce different results. But the linchpin, the mechanism that changes the entire dynamic of your life, are your beliefs. Change your beliefs and you change the results. Change your beliefs and you change your life.

Change your belief and your change your outcomes. You don't have to believe in a 'law of attraction' or 'magic' of the Universe to understand how every single result you do or do not create in any aspect of your life is a result of your beliefs. Beliefs make up who you are BEing, which is the fundamental basis of manifestation and abundance. This is how the miracles (which are very real) of the Universe work. This is how you create your highest possibilty. It's also literally how the human BEing operating system works. The psychological sciences explain quite clearly that your brain is a goal achieving machine and the instructions it is operating against or the assumptions or beliefs you have about life. Your beliefs are informing your conscious and unconscious mind and are bringing forth into your reality exactly what it is that you believe. Without much effort, you can radically transform your external reality when you adjust your inner architecture or attitude. But if you truly want to transform your life you must become 100% committed faithful and loyal to the idea that you are creating the experience of of your life by the design of your own thinking. You must become what I call ‘radically responsible.’ You must accept that every single experience you are are not having is a direct result of what you believe. There are no exceptions. The moment you attribute an explanation to a force outside your Self you create a precedent where some things are within your control and others are not. Sure, the economy may be bad but some people are thriving. Yes, the prognosis may not be good, but some people recover from it. OK the relationship may have challenges, but other couples are able to recreate their passion. The moment you give power to a cause outside your limitless beliefs you lose the power to change your circumstances.

There isn’t anything in your life that you cannot transform by changing your beliefs about it. In fact, there is no force more powerful in the world than a changed mind. When you commit to the radical responsibility, and you have a framework for transforming your limiting beliefs, and you stay loyal to that practice on a moment-by-moment basis, any change you can imagine becomes possible. Our greatest fears are always “I am not loveable, I am not loved, I am not worthy, I will be abandoned, and I will die.” These form the basis of our limiting beliefs, and our beliuefs keep us in fear and what I call ‘the limbo of fear.’

Conclusions

The key to life, is to work on who we are BEing. This determines our beliefs, which lead to our thoughts and feelings, which leads to our responses. These responses determine our actions, when we are ready. No-one else determines our time scale: We respond when we are ready. We then let go of the outcome of our actions, reassess, then we start the cycle again.

How we act determines our results, or lack thereof; and our results always, 100% of the time, reinforce the original belief: In other words, who we are BEing.

Namaste.

Sending you love, light, and blessings brothers.

This community is a safe space for men to connect and discuss philosophy, spirituality, positive psychology, awakening to Self-realisation, wisdom and timeless Truths, to share our experience, strength and hope, and to find solutions to our pain and fears. Our meeting is free to join. There is no script, just sharing.
