'A Grievance Looking For a Cause'

Projection, cancel culture, the epistemology of hate,

ontological arrogance, denial, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), duality, and the myth of neutrality in law — and the way out: Love is a verb, a skill and a ‘Will’. Love is not only a way of BEing, but also how you do BEing. You are worthy.

'The Ego Scaling Matrix'

The petrified inner child in cognitive armour — and how it scales from the nursery to the role, the profession, the discipline, the institution and the civilisation: Why adverse childhood experience is the one finding law, medicine and academia cannot afford to know.

Dr. Donald W. Winnicott, Paediatrician and Psychoanalyst: “In this respect the best defence is the organisation of a false self.” “The alternative to BEing is reacting, and reacting interrupts BEing and annihilates. BEing and annihilation are the two alternatives.” “In the extreme case the infant exists only on the basis of a continuity of reactions to impingement and of recoveries from such reactions. This is in great contrast to the continuity of being which is my conception of ego strength.” “If (parental) care is not good enough then the infant does not really come into existence, since there is no continuity of being; instead the personality becomes built on the basis of reactions to environmental impingement.” Such a personality does not stop at the nursery door — it qualifies, is promoted, writes the standards, and chairs the panel...

Dr, Gabor Maté "My own workaholism as a physician earned me much respect, gratitude, remuneration, and status in the world… Because, stemming from my early experiences, I needed to be needed, wanted, and admired as a substitute for love.” “We doctors pride ourselves on what we call evidence-based practice while ignoring vast swaths of evidence that call into question central tenets of our dogma.” And “Not being seen and accepted for who we are is sufficient.”

Dr. Vincent Felitti: "Fortunately, fire departments learned to distinguish cause from effect long ago; if they had not, they would use fans instead of water hoses.”

Elizabeth Anderson: “So must we scale up the virtue of epistemic justice to systemic size.”

Sarndrah Horsfall, an independent Management and Policy Consultant wrote: “The very nature of the investigation process creates significant stress and mental anguish."

Dr. Louis Appleby, Professor of Psychiatry, on the regulator's own website: “Doctors who are ill need to be treated, not punished – investigation is frequently punitive in effect."

Thomas S. Kuhn: “Political revolutions aim to change political institutions in ways that those institutions themselves prohibit.”

Dr. Erich Fromm, the German-American Psychoanalyst, social psychologist and humanist philosopher, describes the automaton who “Consciously conceives of himself as free and subject only to himself.”

The Harvard Psychiatrist Dr. Judith Herman observes “The medical or mental health system replicates the behaviour of the abusive family” And then asks: “Will these insights be lost once again?”

'The Human Condition and How To Heal It — Book One: Diagnosis'

The Human Condition and How To Heal It is a four-movement synthesis that applies the clinical psychopathological model — diagnosis, aetiology and pathogenesis, prognosis and possibility of cure, treatment and protocol — to human suffering itself, and maps that model onto the Four Noble Truths. Book One establishes the diagnosis.

It argues that the human condition is not a vague existential malaise but a coherent syndrome with an identifiable cause, mechanism and course. The syndrome is Identity Fracture: a psyche divided under conditional love and childhood Trauma, from which the ego forms as the armoured petrified inner child. Book One sets out the diagnostic architecture — the Meta-Framework of the Unified Field, the Council of Disciplines, the Two Forks One Choice Model, the Triadic Reintegration Model, and the Law of Unconditional Love — and situates them among the witnesses, from the Buddha, Jesus and Sengcan to Freud, Jung, Winnicott, Herman, van der Kolk, Maté, Frankl, Rogers, Kuhn, Foucault and Singer.

The work is interdisciplinary by necessity: the human condition is simultaneously biological, developmental, psychological, social, philosophical and spiritual, and any account that amputates one layer will misdiagnose the whole. Claims are triangulated against developmental psychology, attachment research, adverse childhood experience epidemiology, affective neuroscience and the contemplative traditions, with full citation throughout.

Book One is the first of four movements, issued in six volumes, and offered free of charge.
