The Human Being Before the Discipline:
How Six Years in the Wilderness Became One Map of the Human Condition
The Map Room is the living, guided, and deeper layer of my transdisciplinary and trans-paradigmatic work on the Human Condition. Conceived as an "intellectual and contemplative atlas" or sanctuary, it provides a structured home where you can navigate the landscape of you inner world, understand how you arrived there, and discover how to live differently without being subjected to judgement or rigid diagnostics.
The Four Entrances
Rather than enforcing a linear course, The Map Room provides four interconnected entrance pathways based on the primary questions that you might be carrying:
-
Development ("How did I become who I am?"): Explores childhood attachment, parental conditional regard ("loved if"), introjection, contingent self-worth, and the Ego as a "petrified inner child wearing armour".
-
The Human Condition ("Why do we suffer, and what are we really looking for?"): Examines fear, perception, identity, external validation, the Quest for Love, institutional structures, and BEing.
-
Burnout ("Why can't I stop?"): Investigates perfectionism, work addiction, the Scarcity Combustion Engine, the Four Commands ("Be excellent. Be compliant. Need nothing. Never stop."), the Gilded Gate, institutional reinforcement, and the Second Wound.
-
Re-Collection ("What becomes possible now?"): Focuses on the threshold of change—the Pivot Point, Step Zero, the Will to Love, compassionate witnessing, the Reverse Panopticon, and the Field of BEing (Sum, ergo diligo / "I AM, therefore I love").
The Four Pillars of Engagement
When accessed as a membership/subscription space, The Map Room is organised around four commitments:
-
Commitment: A mutual agreement to sustained inquiry and attention without issuing new "conditions of worth" or demands to perform.
-
Depth: Tracing questions across developmental psychology, neuroscience, institutional sociology, and philosophy rather than relying on short, superficial fragments.
-
Evolution: Maintaining a living, revisable map that corrects itself when evidence or experience requires it.
-
Discovery: Offering original research, essays, books, audio, and cinematic film overviews while preserving the reader's complete freedom to disagree or put the map down.
How It Fits into the Wider undertaking
-
The Books (How Do ACEs Burnout? Vol I–III): Form the comprehensive intellectual and philosophical architecture.
-
Open The Earth: The permanently free, open-access research library ("the books before the map") containing original empirical studies and counter-witnesses.
-
The Map Room: The living atlas, companion space, and navigable entrance bringing all the writing, media, and pathways into relationship.
-
Transformative Coaching: An independent, optional, non-clinical 1-to-1 relational journey.
